No. 5 Syracuse (4-0) blew out Bucknell (1-2), 5-0, on Saturday in its 2017 home-opener at J.S. Coyne Stadium. The Orange dominated the Bison in shots (18-0) and penalty corners (6-0) while controlling possession and keeping Bucknell out of the attacking end. In the win, five different SU players scored, including three midfielders. In net, freshman Borg van der Velde picked up the shutout as SU’s defense smothered Bucknell. Through four games, Syracuse has yet to let in a goal.
