Syracuse (18-11, 7-9 Atlantic Coast) made as many shots (17) as it had turnovers (17) on Saturday and in turn couldn’t keep pace with No. 5 Duke (24-5, 12-4), and lost 60-44. Syracuse’s big three of Frank Howard, Tyus Battle and Oshae Brissett failed to ever get it going, and once Paschal Chukwu fouled out, Syracuse’s fate seemed sealed.
