Syracuse (3-3, 0-2 Atlantic Coast) fell 1-0 for the second straight game, this time losing to Duke (5-2, 1-0). The loss is the first time that Syracuse has been bested by the Blue Devils since joining the ACC in 2013. Despite a career-best effort from SU goalkeeper Borg van der Velde, the Orange crumbled and couldn’t record a single shot all game long. The Orange struggled with passing and possessing the ball, and the lone goal the Blue Devils scored turned out to be the winner.
