Syracuse (5-2, 2-2 Atlantic Coast) bested North Carolina (1-5, 1-3), 40-37, in double overtime behind a three-touchdown effort in the fourth quarter and overtime from Tommy DeVito. The Orange trailed the entirety of the game but were able to forge a comeback and force two extra periods, eventually holding on to win.
