Syracuse (10-4, 1-0 Atlantic Coast) beat Notre Dame (10-5, 0-2), 72-62, in the first game of its ACC slate. The Orange was boosted by 22 points and 10 rebounds from Elijah Hughes, but also got production from its usual contributors Tyus Battle and Oshae Brissett to carry the SU offense. The trio combined for 58 of the Orange’s 72 points.
