Former South Carolina offensive tackle Kam Pringle has transferred to Syracuse, 247Sports reported Tuesday. Pringle was the No. 1 overall offensive tackle in the transfer portal and has four years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-8, 336-pound offensive tackle from Dorchester, South Carolina was the No. 3 overall player in the state’s 2024 class. He enrolled early for the Gamecocks and appeared in one game, redshirting to have four years of eligibility left.
Pringle originally chose South Carolina over offers from SEC powerhouses Florida, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas A&M. He also garnered offers from the top teams in the Big Ten, including Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State, along with others outside the top two conferences like Clemson and Arizona State.
He is a huge addition to SU’s offensive line for 2025 and beyond. The Orange lost experienced tackles David Wohlabaugh Jr. and Enrique Cruz Jr. in the transfer portal but sported redshirt freshman Trevion Mack at left tackle and Da’Metrius Weatherspoon at right tackle during their spring game. Pringle could be an instant starter for Syracuse, protecting either Rickie Collins or Steve Angeli at quarterback.
