Billy Joel has canceled his JMA Wireless Dome performance scheduled for April 10, 2026, after his recent diagnosis of Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.

All other scheduled concerts are cancelled as well, according to a statement posted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s Instagram today. Tickets for the show will automatically be refunded.

Joel’s condition was exacerbated by his recent concert performances, the post said, leading to issues with hearing, vision and balance. He’s undergoing physical therapy and was advised to avoid performing during his recovery time, the IG post said. Joel also expressed gratitude for support from fans during this time.

“I’m sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding,” Joel said in the IG post.

Joel was originally scheduled to perform in the Dome on April 11. This performance was rescheduled to April 10, 2026 due to an unspecified medical condition, according to an Instagram statement on March 11. The “Billy Joel in Concert” tour was scheduled to resume on July 5 with a show at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh this summer.

Live Nation and the Dome originally announced in a Thursday morning press conference at the Dome on Sept. 26, 2024 that Billy Joel would perform on April 11, 2025, along with support from Sting.

The show would’ve been his eighth time performing in the Dome, breaking a record for most concerts in the stadium. It also would’ve been his first time performing with Sting in New York. He last performed in the Dome in 2015. A Syracuse jersey with the No. 7 currently honors Joel in the Dome.
