Three-star defensive lineman Kordae Houston has committed to Syracuse, he announced on social media Monday. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Dallas, Texas, native is SU’s 19th commit and 17th three-star in its 29th-ranked 2026 class.
Houston, a standout at South Oak Cliff High School (Texas), is ranked as a top-100 defensive lineman and 127th-best player from The Lone Star State in his class. He chose the Orange over Arizona State, Boise State, Georgia Tech, Houston, LSU, Miami, Texas A&M and 11 others.
Houston was initially crystal-balled to Atlantic Coast Conference foe Cal, but committed to SU after visiting its campus this weekend. He’s the third player to commit to the Orange following a recent official visit, joining three-star linebacker Gemaus Sackie and three-star punter Jimmy Gregg.
In his junior year at South Oak Cliff, Houston tallied 54 total tackles and four sacks, helping the Bears to the UIL 5A Division II State Championship. Now, he joins Syracuse’s 2026 class, which already boasts a plethora of weapons on the defensive line, including four-star edge Jarius Rodgers and three-star edge Kamron Wilson.
