Offensive lineman Brayden Charney committed to Syracuse, he announced on social media Monday. Charney, a three-star recruit according to 247Sports, is the fifth offensive lineman in the 2026 class to commit to Syracuse. The OL class includes Javeion Cooper, who committed in December.

The West Palm Beach, Florida native received 11 offers, including Marshall, Florida Atlantic, USF and James Madison before Syracuse offered the junior after an official visit this weekend and a home visit from SU’s offensive line coach Dale Williams on May 23. Syracuse was the only Power Four school to give Charney an offer.

He ranks as the 137th-best offensive tackle in the country and the 173rd-best recruit in Florida. Charney is also SU’s sixth 2026 recruit from the Sunshine State. He will finish his high school career playing at Cardinal Newman after transferring from The Benjamin School.

The Orange now hold the 21st-best 2026 recruiting class in the country.
