Syracuse women’s basketball head coach Felisha Legette-Jack made a flurry of changes to her coaching staff for the 2025-26 season, SU Athletics announced Wednesday.
Legette-Jack added Saint Joseph’s Director of Scouting and Video Operations Caleb Samson to serve as a video coordinator and assistant coach for the Orange. Prior to joining the Hawks, Samson spent two years as a graduate assistant with the University of Illinois. He is the second external addition to SU’s coaching staff after it hired Arizona State’s Natasha Adair as its associate head coach on May 29.
Furthermore, Danayla Odom-West is also joining SU’s staff as its Director of Basketball Operations. Odom-West has served as an academic coordinator for Syracuse since 2021, but she returns to basketball following a stretch as Baylor’s team manager from 2016-20.
A few of the returners of Syracuse’s staff have been shuffled into new positions, too. Khyreed Carter, who coached alongside Legette-Jack at Buffalo, has now been promoted from a recruiting coordinator to SU’s assistant head coach. Amber Moore, who previously served as SU’s Director of Operations since 2022, now becomes an assistant coach next season.
After the departures of Kristen Sharkey to Buffalo and Ty Evans to DePaul, the Orange have fully revamped their coaching staff. Now, they’ll look to improve on their paltry 12-win 2024-25 campaign.
