Pedestrian killed in car accident near Upstate University Hospital

A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle Thursday morning at the intersection of East Adams Street and South Townsend Street near Upstate University Hospital, according to the Syracuse Police Department.

At around 7:01 a.m., Syracuse police responded to a man suffering from traumatic injuries. The man was transported to the hospital, where he died.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with officers, police say.

The investigation is ongoing.
