Syracuse University’s Department of Public Safety issued a trespass warning to a man who allegedly blocked a student’s path and used a racial slur toward them on Wednesday.
The student reported the incident to DPS officers, who reviewed the security footage and identified the male. He is “not welcome” back on campus, according to a Thursday DPS report.
The incident happened at the intersection of South Crouse and Marshall Street.
“I appreciate that the student felt comfortable to immediately report this incident to DPS,” said Associate Vice President and Chief of Campus Safety and Emergency Management Services Michael Bunker in the report. “This allowed our officers to quickly identify the individual involved and take appropriate action to remove and bar him from campus property.”
