8 SU students, alumni selected for 2025 Fulbright cycle

Eight Syracuse University students and alumni received Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards for the 2025 cycle, SU announced Thursday.
The program sends students to over 140 countries around the world to pursue a graduate education, complete research, or teach English abroad, according to its website.
The 2025 Fulbright SU awardees are:
- Phoebe Ambrose, a 2022 food studies and citizenship and civic engagement graduate who will be studying in the United Kingdom.
- Sofia DaCruz, a 2025 citizenship and civic engagement, selected studies and women’s and gender studies graduate DaCruz who will complete an English teaching assistantship in the Slovak Republic.
- Alexandria Johnson, a 2024 international relations graduate who will complete an ETA in Belgium.
- Morgan Meddings, a 2025 inclusive elementary and special education graduate who will complete an ETA in Madagascar.
- Jessie Norton 2025, a Spanish language, literature and culture and Spanish education graduate who will complete an ETA in Spain.
- Kerrin O’Grady, a 2025 biomedical engineering and neuroscience graduate who will be studying in the UK.
- Zoe Prin, a graduate student studying international relations who will complete an ETA in Moldova.
- Virginia Walker, a 2025 international relations and policy studies graduate who will complete an ETA in Mongolia.
The 2025 Fulbright SU alternates are:
- Yesmine Chikha, a 2025 communications design graduate who will complete an ETA in Spain.
- Sacha Norton, a 2025 selected studies graduate who will complete an ETA in Kenya.
- Katarina Sako, a 2024 biology and neuroscience graduate who will be studying in the UK.
- Lindy Truitt, a 2025 communications design graduate who will be studying in the UK.
- Neha Tummalapalli, a 2023 architecture graduate who will be studying in Italy.
