Syracuse defender Bo van Kempen was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. It’s van Kempen’s second time claiming the honor in 2025, after she earned it following her nine-goal opening weekend on Sept. 2.

van Kempen continued her historic start to 2025 with four combined goals this weekend against then-No. 11 Princeton and Lafayette. She tallied a penalty-shot goal on Friday to beat the Tigers in overtime before recording her third hat trick of the season on Sunday against the Leopards.

The graduate student has been instrumental to No. 4 SU’s 6-0 start. She’s recorded 14 goals and 30 points through just six games, and her 48.3% shot percentage paces those who have at least five shots. Additionally, van Kempen is also tied with Iowa’s Dionne van Aalsum for the Division I lead in goals per game with 2.33.
