Syracuse football announced its 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference slate Tuesday. The game dates haven’t been released yet.
Next season, the Orange will play four ACC home games and five conference games on the road. In 2026, SU will host Cal, Clemson, Louisville and SMU in the JMA Wireless Dome. Syracuse will travel to meet Boston College, Pitt, NC State, North Carolina and Virginia. The nine teams the Orange are slated to face had a combined conference record of 38-34 in 2025, led by UVA’s ACC-best 7-1 season.
SU finished at the bottom of the ACC with a 1-7 conference record last season, after quarterback Steve Angeli tore his Achilles in its ACC opener at Clemson, the Orange’s sole conference win.
Without Angeli, the Orange lost their final seven conference games and last eight regular season contests. That dubious stretch included defeats to SMU, Pitt, North Carolina and Boston College — all losses that SU will have the chance to avenge in 2026.
Prior to ACC play next season, SU will open its season versus New Hampshire on Sept. 5 and play Toledo on Sept. 19 before traveling to face UConn on Oct. 3. The Orange are also slated to host Notre Dame in 2026, a rematch of their worst loss since 1893, a 70-7 marmalization on Nov. 22. The date of the Fighting Irish’s visit hasn’t been announced yet.
With Angeli returning under center, Fran Brown and Co. look to put the disastrous 2025 season behind them and climb out of the ACC cellar in 2026.
