Syracuse men’s lacrosse has released its 2026 schedule, which features 15 games. The Orange begin their season on Feb. 1, 2026, in the JMA Wireless Dome against Boston University, starting a 10-game stretch against nonconference opponents.

Nine of SU’s 15 opponents made the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Marquee matchups include three rematches from the 2025 NCAA Tournament. First comes Maryland — which beat Syracuse in the national semifinals last season — at home on Feb. 13, then a road showdown with Harvard (Feb. 21), before another big-time matchup with Princeton six days later.

Prior to Syracuse’s meeting with Maryland, it will face BU and Saint Joseph’s at home. After its matchup with the Hawks, SU won’t return home until March 22. The Orange will embark on a six-game road trip, starting with their third game against Harvard in two seasons.

The Orange have history with the Crimson, who pulled off an early-season upset in the Dome in 2025. SU got its revenge by defeating Harvard in the first round of the NCAA Tournament after trailing by six goals. Within a week, Syracuse will have to fend off another team looking for revenge in Princeton — which SU beat the following round — in what will be another highly-anticipated matchup.

Despite the final four games of Syracuse’s road trips being against teams that missed the tournament last season, nobody will be a pushover. Penn is expected to be much improved and will play SU on March 1. That’s followed up by a rivalry game against Johns Hopkins on the road. It’ll be the first time Syracuse plays at Homewood Field since 2022.

After that, Syracuse embarks on a West Coast trip, with games against Air Force (March 12) and Denver (March 16). The Orange finally return home on March 22 to play Georgetown, which made the quarterfinals in last year’s tournament.

Syracuse opens up Atlantic Coast Conference play on April 4, with a home game against Duke. North Carolina follows a week later. SU’s final nonconference game comes on April 18, against Colgate, before the Orange wrap up their season on the road against Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.

SU’s schedule will certainly be one of the toughest in the country. That’s likely how Gary Gait wants it as he looks to recapture the Orange’s first national title since 2009. They came close last season, falling in the Final Four. This season is for all the marbles. Syracuse’s famed 2022 recruiting class are all seniors, and the pressure will be on the players to get the winningest program in college lacrosse back on top.
