Syracuse softball released its 2026 schedule Tuesday. The 42-game slate features five tournaments, eight ACC series and 15 games against teams that qualified for last year’s NCAA Tournament.
From the outset, the Orange are in for a challenge. They open Feb. 6 against South Carolina in the Gamecock Classic, have a two-game series against Binghamton — which SU split a doubleheader with in 2023 — before immediately taking on national champions Texas in the Bevo Classic from Feb. 13-15.
Syracuse then heads to Lynchburg, Virginia, where it’ll match up against Toledo and Liberty three times each in the Liberty Softball Classic from Feb. 20-22.
SU ends its 14-game tournament stretch with the Terrapin Invitational with three games on Feb. 27 and Feb. 28 against Maryland and Fairfield, before beginning Atlantic Coast Conference play on March 13 versus Florida State.
Sixteen games into the season and over a month after its opener, Syracuse arrives home for a three-game series against Virginia March 20-22. UVA is one of SU’s two repeat ACC matchups from last year; the Cavaliers swept the 2025 series 3-0.
Once the Orange are finished with Virginia, they get a break from 2025 NCAA Tournament qualifiers. The back stretch of their schedule includes series versus NC State (March 27-29), Pittsburgh (April 2-4), Boston College — SU’s other repeat — (April 10-12), Notre Dame (April 17-19) and Louisville (April 24-26), with two nonconference doubleheaders in between, against Colgate and Buffalo on April 15 and April 21, respectively.
Syracuse wraps up the season at home with its last test before the ACC Tournament against Virginia Tech on May 1-3.
