Former Jackson State running back Ahmad Miller has transferred to Syracuse, On3 reported Wednesday. As a redshirt sophomore, Miller ran for 1,054 yards on 6.4 yards per carry with the Tigers in 2025.
A Memphis, Tennessee, native, Miller flew under the radar out of high school. He rushed for over 200 yards as a freshman, but redshirted in 2024 after an injury. Miller’s biggest game of his 2025 season came in JSU’s season opener against Hampton, where he rushed for 180 yards and found the endzone twice on just 12 carries. He visited Syracuse over the weekend.
Miller is the second running back to transfer to Syracuse this cycle, joining LSU transfer Ju’Juan Johnson. The Orange needed to bolster their room after losing Yasin Willis to Kansas and Will Nixon to the NFL Draft. Miller is 6-foot, 207 pounds, while Johnson is nearly the exact same build at 6-foot, 210 pounds. Miller will have two years of eligibility remaining.
