Syracuse tennis added four new players to its roster Thursday, according to the team’s roster page. The new members are freshmen Ellie Rand, Emmy Beauchesne and Emma Scaldalai, as well as graduate student Leena Bennetto.

With these new additions, the roster sits at 10 players ahead of the season opener against Cornell on Saturday. The Orange rostered eight players in 2025. Program rocks Shiori Ito and Miyuka Kimoto departed at the end of the campaign, leaving the Orange’s squad at six players prior to Thursday’s additions.

Scaldalai and Bennetto, Belgian and Canadian natives, respectively, join an already-heavily international program, with six out of the team’s 10 players hailing from outside the United States.

The four new players will join a Syracuse tennis team that is searching for its first winning season since 2023, and is aiming to continue its momentum from a strong fall season that included an NCAA Singles and Doubles Tournament berth for senior Serafima Shastova.
