Syracuse track and field’s Jamir Brown was awarded the ACC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. The recognition follows Brown winning the 60-meter hurdles at the Nittany Lion Challenge Saturday with a time of 7.63 seconds.
Brown’s time in the race was the fastest in the ACC and fifth best in the nation this season. Brown also beat his previous record time of 7.71 seconds set at the Greg Page Relays in December.
This is the first ACC Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Week award won by a Syracuse runner in the 2026 Indoor season.
Brown’s win in the 60-meter hurdles was the second race by the men, and the fourth by the Orange track this season.
SU will compete against ACC opponents Clemson, Florida State and Georgia Tech at the Orange and Purple Invitational Friday and Saturday.
