Syracuse had three players named to Atlantic Hockey America weekly honors, the conference announced Tuesday. Peyton Armstrong won Forward of the Week, Sami Gendron won Defenseman of the Week and Jordan Blouin won Rookie of the Week. Their honors come after SU’s 4-3 double-overtime win over No. 4 seed RIT in the AHA Quarterfinals on Saturday.
Armstrong tallied a team-high four points — two goals and two assists. She slotted a one-timer from Blouin in the second period and extended Syracuse’s lead to two early in the third, converting a rebound off RIT goaltender Brenna McNamara.
On defense, Gendron nabbed a season high in assists and points with two. She delivered a secondary assist on each of Armstrong’s tallies while also blocking three shots, the second most for the Orange.
Blouin scored a one-timer off a cross-ice Armstrong feed on a 2-on-1 in the first period, and she returned the favor on Armstrong’s first goal. The freshman also poked the puck loose in RIT’s crease to help Emma Gnade win the game.
The line of Armstrong, Blouin and Gnade carried the load for the Orange, accruing nine points — their most since Oct. 4, 2025, when Armstrong also earned a weekly honor. It’s the first time SU has claimed multiple weekly awards this season.
