SCRC Exhibition “We Demand! A Legacy of Activism in America”
Syracuse University Libraries’ Special Collections Research Center has collected items like posters, protest signs and newsletters related to waves of activism and social reform in the United States. This exhibition will showcase these materials, representing the importance of activism and challenging injustice in the country.

When: Monday to April 9, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rematriated Voices: Screening Series
Rematriation, an Indigenous women-led nonprofit, will host a public screening of “Rematriated Voices with Michelle Schenandoah” for the first time. The talk show centers around Haudenosaunee principles, uplifting truth and living in balance with Mother Earth. Partnered with WCNY PBS and SCRC, the evening will screen select episodes from the show’s first season. Register to attend here.

Canoe Battleship
Try out Canoe Battleship for a change of pace this week. In this tournament, teams of four must attempt to sink their opponents’ canoes by dumping buckets of water in them while trying not to capsize. Those interested must register by Wednesday at 4 p.m.

When: Wednesday, 8 to 10 p.m.
Where: Barnes Center at The Arch, Pool
Price: Free

Spinach Records x Room Tone Sessions: Vol. I
Unwind with a guided yoga session accompanied by a live acoustic performance from R&B artist Marie-Elise. Purple Banana will also be offering free smoothies at the event.

When: Thursday, 6 p.m.

Pratt’s Falls Hike
As the Syracuse weather warms up, the Barnes Center is hosting a day hiking trip around Pratt’s Falls. At the end of the hike, enjoy the scenic view of a 137-foot waterfall. Transportation to the park will be provided.

When: Saturday, noon to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Barnes Center at The Arch
Price: $5 for undergraduate students; $10 for graduate students
