Beyond firing head coach Adrian Autry and general manager Alex Kline, Syracuse men’s basketball wiped its entire coaching staff Wednesday, a source confirmed to The Daily Orange. Assistant coaches Brenden Straughn, Allen Griffin, Dan Engelstad and Peter Corasaniti were all relieved of their duties.

Meanwhile, the source confirmed director of strength and conditioning Robert Harris, producer/videographer Chris Thomas and player development assistant Evan Dourdas are no longer with the program.

Griffin, who played for the Orange from 1997-2001, rejoined the program as an assistant in 2017. Straughn was hired in March 2023 after Autry took over for Jim Boeheim as head coach, while Engelstad was hired in April 2024 after Gerry McNamara departed to become Siena’s head coach.

Corasaniti, a former graduate assistant and student head manager at Syracuse, was named the program’s director of men’s basketball operations in July 2019. In July 2025, Corasaniti was also named an assistant coach while keeping his role as director of men’s basketball operations.

Harris and Dourdas — a former SU walk-on — each spent just one year on the Orange’s coaching staff. Meanwhile, Thomas was named the producer/videographer in August 2024 after serving as a graduate assistant and student head manager.
