American High announces 28-episode Netflix show ‘Minimum Wage’

American High, the Liverpool-based production company, will bring its short-form series, “Minimum Wage,” to Netflix, Variety first reported Thursday. The show is set to launch later this year, with the partnership including 28 episodes, each roughly 13 minutes.

The show follows teens as they navigate various restaurant shifts, low wages and coworker drama. The eight-episode series first launched in May 2024 and has since amassed millions of views on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

The show stars Grace Reiter, Ryan Micho, Aidan Micho, Julia DiCesare, Hyde Healy and more.

Founded in 2017 by Jeremy Garelick, American High operates out of a former middle school and films around central New York. American High’s latest feature film, “Pizza Movie,” saw Syracuse University students working on set.
