Syracuse defensive lineman Dion “Tank” Wilson Jr. has signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent, SU announced Saturday night. Wilson spent the last two seasons with the Orange after transferring from New Mexico State.

Wilson’s career began at Arizona in 2020. He played in 20 games across three years with the Wildcats — half of which came as a sophomore in 2022. Wilson finished his Arizona career with 31 tackles and one sack.

He then transferred to New Mexico State and saw an increased role. Wilson played in every game with the Aggies in 2023, finishing with 1.5 sacks and 30 tackles.

The final stop of his college career was at Syracuse. Wilson’s first year in 2024 was cut short after just four games, as he missed the rest of the regular season with an injury before returning to make three tackles in the Holiday Bowl. In 2025, he appeared in all of SU’s 12 games.

Syracuse’s defense finished with just 37 sacks as a unit in 2025, one of the worst marks in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Kevin Jobity Jr. led the team with just five, while Wilson had zero. The struggles contributed to the Orange’s abysmal 3-9 campaign.

Wilson became the third SU player to sign with an NFL team, after punter Jack Stonehouse (Texans) and Jobity (Steelers). He was followed by tight end Dan Villari, who was picked up by the Rams.
