Class of 2027 quarterback Justin Dixon has decommitted from Syracuse, he announced on social media Monday morning. Dixon was a three-star recruit out of Towson Concordia Prep (Maryland) who had been committed to the Orange for over a year.
The Towson, Maryland, native announced his original commitment to SU on Nov. 30, 2024, after Syracuse shocked then-No. 6 Miami to conclude its 2024 regular season. Dixon is the 67th-ranked quarterback in his class and the 25th-best player from Maryland, according to 247Sports.
This past year, Dixon only saw action in two games at Towson Concordia Prep, recording 135 yards on 17 pass attempts. In his 2024 season, the signal-caller logged 469 yards and three touchdowns, per MaxPreps.
With his recruitment reopened, Dixon also holds offers from Maryland and Towson.
His decommitment comes days after fellow three-star 2027 quarterback Charlie Foulke IV announced his commitment to the Orange. It leaves head coach Fran Brown with eight commits in Syracuse’s 2027 recruiting class.
