Former Siena forward Tasman Goodrick has committed to Syracuse, he announced on social media Wednesday. Goodrick joins Gavin Doty in becoming the second player to follow Gerry McNamara to Syracuse.

The junior only played in nine games for Siena this season due to injury. He last appeared on Dec. 17, before getting procedures done on both knees, per Mark Singelais of The Times Union. Before his season ended, Goodrick averaged 9.7 and 7.3 points per game on 64.5% shooting. At 6-feet-10 inches tall and 230 pounds, Goodrick provides frontcourt depth for Syracuse after William Kyle III graduated, while Donnie Freeman and Akir Souare entered the transfer portal.

Goodrick is from Sydney, Australia, and he spent his first season with California Baptist before transferring to Division II Gannon University. After averaging a double-double, McNamara added him in the portal. Goodrick started all nine games he played in, but his injury prevented him from being a part of Siena’s run to the NCAA Tournament.

After losing most of SU’s roster to the portal or graduation, McNamara is slowly trying to build up his roster. Doty was a key addition after averaging 18 points per game. The new head coach also brought in international prospect Mark Morano Mahmutovič along with Goodrick.
