Syracuse University is set to launch an “upgraded student success platform” called Orange Success 2.0 on May 18, according to a Thursday release.
Improving the current Orange Success platform, Orange Success 2.0 will use Navigate 360, a higher education customer relationship manager powered by “responsible AI”, according to its website. The platform aims to improve student advising and provide “clearer visibility into student engagement and progress” by integrating student data and advising information into one platform, the release states.
The platform was launched by the Center for Student Excellence, which oversees 14 different student-facing university programs, including First-Year Seminar and Center for Learning and Student Success.
Over 200 faculty and staff attended on-site training for the program this semester, according to the release. The training covered the platform’s basic structure and helped participants better understand how data is used to support students.
“The breadth of participation across schools, colleges and departments reflects how seriously our community takes its responsibility to every student on campus,” Tommy Powell, assistant provost for academic programs in the Office of Academic Affairs, said in the release.
Navigate360’s website said its CRM’s “automation capabilities” allow faculty to save time on “routine tasks” and spend more time talking directly with students.
In the next month, CSE will work with users to implement necessary improvements based on feedback, the release said.
Users can access Orange Success 2.0 through their MySlice portal, similarly to the current version, starting May 18.
