Syracuse University’s undergraduate tuition will increase by nearly 4% for the 2026-27 academic year, the university announced in a May 18 release.

With tuition now at $69,180 for full-time undergraduate students, SU’s estimated cost of attendance is $95,676 for students living on campus, according to its website.

Tuition during the 2025-26 academic year was $66,580.

SU also announced it will fund about $436 million in financial aid assistance, a roughly 9% increase from last academic year, according to the release.

“Financial aid is one of the most direct ways we make a Syracuse education possible for more students,” Ryan Williams, vice president for enrollment services, said in the release. “This increase reflects how seriously we take that responsibility, and we are excited about the students who will join our community in the fall.”

SU’s Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees approved the following new rates for tuition and additional fees:

“Syracuse University strives to meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for eligible students,” the release reads. “Aid packages draw from a range of sources, including Syracuse-funded scholarships and grants, federal and state aid, private scholarships, federal student loans and work-study opportunities.”
