Syracuse Police Department officers arrested a suspect after responding to a stabbing in the University Hill neighborhood on Wednesday around 12:00 p.m., according to an SPD release.
Officers responded to the reported stabbing in a residence on the 1400 block of Madison Street and arrested 18-year-old Syracuse resident Dakota Kellogg, the release stated.
The 19-year-old victim was stabbed in the back and transported to Upstate University Hospital. The injuries are “non-life threatening,” according to the release.
Kellogg, now held at the Onondaga County Justice Center, faces charges of assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
