Former Southern California midfielder Hollis Mulry has committed to Syracuse women’s lacrosse, Lacrosse Extras first reported Tuesday afternoon. Mulry tallied 18 goals and two assists with the Trojans in 2026, garnering All-Big Ten Second Team honors.
Mulry is SU’s fourth transfer portal addition this cycle, joining defender Olivia Bruno, attack Hanna Davis and goalie Maya Soskin. She has one year of eligibility remaining. Meanwhile, three Orange players have entered the portal, notably 2026 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Second Team attack Caroline Trinkaus.
A Connecticut native, Mulry joined USC after an illustrious prep career with New Canaan High School and the CT Grizzlies, the same club team as Syracuse defender Kaci Benoit and Trinkaus. Mulry finished high school with 93 points (66 goals, 27 assists), 22 caused turnovers and 37 ground balls.
She was named an Under Armour All-American in high school, but her success didn’t immediately translate to the Trojans. Mulry was sidelined for her entire freshman season with an injury. She appeared in 20 games over the next two seasons but combined for six goals and one assist.
In 2026, Mulry’s potential was finally realized. She started all 17 games after starting once in the previous three years. Besides her goal and assist totals, she ranked second on the Trojans in ground balls (29) and caused turnovers (17).
Mulry adds much-needed depth to SU’s midfield unit that loses Emma Muchnick (25 goals, three assists in 2026) and Courtney Maclay (four goals, two assists) to graduation. The Orange finished 14-6 and were eliminated in the NCAA Tournament Second Round in their first year under head coach Regy Thorpe.
