Class of 2027 offensive tackle Botond Varga has committed to Syracuse football, he announced on social media Monday evening. The 6-foot-8, 310-pound lineman is a three-star prospect.

He was ranked the sixth-best player in Massachusetts in his class and the 53rd-best player at his position, per 247Sports. Varga plays high school football for Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts.

He took his official visit to SU on Friday and chose the Orange over Northwestern, UCF, Boston College and Duke, among others.

Varga is the fourth 2027 recruit to commit to the Orange in recent days. He joins defensive back Jamel Griffin Jr., offensive lineman Nico Ramos and edge rusher Braylon Otis. Syracuse’s class now contains 18 players — 17 three-stars — and ranks 31st in the country.
