Three-star class of 2027 running back Tylek Lewis has committed to Syracuse football, 247Sports reported Tuesday. Lewis chose the Orange over offers from Arkansas, West Virginia and Arizona, among others.
The Zachary, Louisiana, native is the 43rd-ranked running back in the 2027 class and the 22nd-best player from the Pelican State, per 247Sports.
Standing 6-foot, 210 pounds, Lewis ran for 1,129 yards and 21 touchdowns in 13 games as a junior at Zachary High School (Louisiana). During Lewis’ sophomore year, which he played at Aldine Davis (Texas), he caught 16 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns.
Lewis is the 22nd player and first running back in the 2027 class to commit to SU. Syracuse’s 2027 class is made up entirely of three-stars, and the group ranks 42nd in the nation, per 247Sports.
