Three-star wide receiver Chanin Harris has committed to Syracuse football, he announced on social media Thursday. Harris is the 19th-best player in South Carolina and a top-100 receiver in the 2027 class, per 247Sports.
He’s SU’s 15th commit in the 2027 cycle and its third-highest-rated pickup thus far. Harris chose the Orange over 11 other schools, including Atlantic Coast Conference foes Virginia, Boston College, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
A 6-foot-1 target, Harris has gained praise for his electric speed, clocking a 10.47-second 100-meter dash in April, per 247Sports. He even won the South Carolina 5A Division I State Championship in the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints. On the gridiron, Harris has tallied 965 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns over his past two seasons at Byrnes High School (South Carolina).
Harris’ potential as an athletic wideout made him a tantalizing prospect for Syracuse. Harris visited SU last week and officially committed Thursday. Now, he’ll look to aid the Orange’s offense as their first receiver commit in his class.
