Former Syracuse women’s lacrosse attack Caroline Trinkaus has committed to Boston College, Lacrosse Extras reported Thursday. The rising junior was the lone starter of three Orange players — Lexi Reber (North Carolina) and Allie Hanlon (Delaware) — to depart via the transfer portal. She entered on May 19.

No SU player scored more goals than Trinkaus over the last two seasons. She tallied 32 in 2025 and 31 in 2026. She also topped Syracuse in points across the campaigns with 87 combined.

It didn’t take long for Trinkaus to carve out a role as a freshman, switching from midfield to attack — a common theme among the front line in assistant coach Nicole Levy’s offense last season. As a sophomore, her magnum opus was a game-winning score and hat trick in SU’s quadruple-overtime win over Notre Dame.

The Ridgefield, Connecticut, native joins an Eagles team returning four 30-goal scorers from 2026. However, they lost attack Hanna Davis — who had 32 points last season — to the portal, and she landed at Syracuse.

Davis is one of five additions the Orange made in the transfer portal, joining former Virginia defender Olivia Bruno, Florida goalie Maya Soskin, USC midfielder Hollis Mulry and William Smith midfielder Natalie Daniels.

Without Trinkaus, Molly Guzik, Ashlee Volpe and Annie Parker are SU’s only returning attacks who saw significant playing time last season. The Orange also welcome incoming freshmen Peyton Rothfuss and Casey Cummings, Inside Lacrosse’s ninth- and 11th-ranked players in the 2026 class, next season.
