Syracuse field hockey released its 2026 schedule Thursday. The Orange’s 15-game slate features eight Atlantic Coast Conference matchups, as they try for a sixth straight NCAA Tournament berth.
SU’s nonconference schedule includes five straight contests away from J.S. Coyne Stadium to open its season. Before that, it’ll play exhibitions on Aug. 20 at UAlbany and Aug. 23 at Cornell. Then, Syracuse heads east for its regular-season opener against Fairfield on Aug. 28 before closing the month at Northeastern on Aug. 30.
It begins September with the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in Piscataway, New Jersey, facing Ohio State (Sept. 4) and tournament host Rutgers (Sept. 6). The Orange ends their road trip one week later at Bucknell (Sept. 13).
SU opens its home schedule on Sept. 18 against UMass Lowell before beginning its ACC slate a week later in Charlottesville against Virginia (Sept. 25), which eliminated it in last year’s ACC Championship Semifinals. Syracuse remains on the road for a pair of games in North Carolina at Wake Forest on Sept. 27 and Duke on Oct. 2.
Louisville is the first conference opponent to visit J.S. Coyne Stadium on Oct. 9 before the Orange host Harvard on Oct. 11. Seven days later, SU heads south to play North Carolina. Syracuse’s regular season ends with three straight home games against Stanford (Oct. 23), California (Oct. 25) and Boston College (Oct. 30).
The ACC Championship will run from Nov. 3-6 before the NCAA Tournament, which begins on Nov. 13 and ends Nov. 22. A year ago, SU made the ACC Semifinals as the No. 6 seed and fell in the NCAA Tournament to No. 2 seed Princeton.
