Syracuse women’s soccer released its 2026 schedule Thursday. It features 17 games, with five matchups against 2025 NCAA Tournament teams. The Orange begin with seven nonconference games and finish with 10 Atlantic Coast Conference contests. The times are to be determined.

After two home exhibition duels with Merchyhurst on Aug. 5 and Le Moyne on Aug. 8, Syracuse opens the regular season with two home games at SU Soccer Stadium, starting on Thursday, Aug. 13, when it faces Villanova for the first time in 15 years. Then, Syracuse hosts Holy Cross, which it defeated 3-1 last year, three days later.

The Orange’s first road game is Aug. 20 at Northwestern, their lone nonconference opponent that made the NCAA Tournament last season. Next, SU hosts three consecutive games, the longest home stretch of the season, against Princeton on Aug. 23, Niagara on Aug. 27 and Harvard on Aug. 30. Nonconference play concludes at Binghamton, which Syracuse drew last season.

ACC play begins on the road against Boston College on Sept. 13, which SU’s played a program-high 20 times. Then, it takes on Clemson, which won an NCAA Tournament game last year, four days after. The Orange retreat to central New York to host two teams they didn’t play last year in Virginia Tech on Sept. 20 and Pittsburgh on Sept. 24.

SU’s most competitive stretch lies in early October. On Oct. 3, it heads to Virginia, which made the Round of 16 last season. Five days later, Syracuse hosts NCAA runner-up Stanford, which dealt the Orange their largest loss of the season last year.

A week later, SU ventures to NC State for an Oct. 15 battle before it takes on Louisville on Oct. 23, which won an NCAA Tournament game last season. The season ends with two home battles, starting with Miami, which SU defeated for its first ACC win in 1,112 days last year, on Oct. 29. Lastly, Syracuse hosts California on Nov. 5.

With just one ACC win in nearly four calendar years, the schedule for Nicky Thrasher Adams’ eighth season will be challenging, especially after losing her goalie, all-time saves leader Shea Vanderbosch.
