The Slice is Right
In this optional event for new students, they compete against other first-years in a game show-esque challenge. Competitors will learn about the history and traditions of Syracuse University.

Where: JMA Wireless Dome
When: Wednesday, 8:15 to 9:30 p.m.

New Student Convocation
All new students are required to attend this ceremony that marks the beginning of their SU journeys. The ceremony will include remarks from the Chancellor and Provost. Parents, families, supporters and other students are welcome to join.

When: Thursday, 10 to 11 a.m.
Price: Free

Orange Blast Involvement Fair
Before class begins, meet representatives from over 50 student organizations, club sports and Greek organizations. Students can also enjoy food, inflatables and mini golf.

Where: Shaw Quadrangle
When: Thursday, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Price: Free

Dome Sweet Dome
Receive your Welcome Week T-shirt and meet fellow first-year and transfer students. During this required event, incoming students will arrange themselves for the iconic block “S” photo.

When: Saturday, 4 to 5 p.m.
Price: Free

Drumlins Summer Block Party
To celebrate their centennial, Drumlins Country Club is throwing a summer block party with food, drinks, lawn games, fireworks and more. Local rock band Prime Time Horns will be providing live music from 5 to 9 p.m. while the fireworks show will begin at 9:15 p.m.

Unapologetically Unfiltered
In a space of unfiltered storytelling, hear stories from Black women about healing, motherhood, pain, love and more. The event is organized by the Syracuse Black Maternal Health Committee. Speakers will include Tenekqua Davis-Cauthen, Terrice Hamilton, Tasha Benjamin and more. There will also be a pre-show reception from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Attendees must be 18 or older due to sensitive themes.
