Former SU field hockey coach Ange Bradley inducted into NFHCA Hall of Fame

Former Syracuse field hockey head coach Ange Bradley will be inducted into the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a member of its 2026 class, the NFHCA announced Tuesday morning.
Bradley’s class also includes West Essex High School (New Jersey) head coach Jill Cosse, former Collegiate School coach and athletic director Karen Doxey and Tufts head coach Tina Mattera. The induction ceremony will be held at the NFHCA Annual Convention in Lake Mary, Florida, on Jan. 14, 2027.
Bradley steered Syracuse’s program for 16 seasons from 2007-22. She joins her predecessor, Kathleen Parker (SU’s coach for 29 seasons, from 1978-2006), as the second Syracuse coach selected to the NFHCA Hall of Fame.
The current United States Under-21 women’s national team head coach, Bradley has coached NCAA field hockey at the helm for 26 seasons. In addition to Syracuse, she previously guided Richmond (2001-06) and Goucher College (1991-94).
The Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, native and former Delaware goalkeeper collected 381 coaching wins, which rank 10th all-time among NCAA Division I coaches. Bradley’s 246 wins with the Orange rank second in program history behind Parker’s 316.
Under Bradley, Syracuse field hockey made 13 NCAA Tournaments, including 10 straight from 2008-17.
The program made all four of its Final Four berths under Bradley, advancing to the championship twice and winning Syracuse’s only national championship in 2015 — the first by any SU women’s program.
Bradley’s Syracuse teams also won an Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title, four Big East regular season titles and two Big East championships. Bradley earned Coach of the Year honors in the ACC in 2015, the Big East four times and two national honors, earning the 2008 and 2015 NFHCA Coach of the Year awards.
