Syracuse University Campus Dining launched mobile ordering for on-campus dining locations through the Transact Mobile Ordering app on Monday, according to a Friday release.
The service will first be used at Dunkin’ inside the Schine Student Center, with other locations to follow during the fall semester. This comes after SU announced in April that the app was undergoing beta testing.
Mobile orders can be placed in the Transact Mobile Ordering app, accessible through the OrangeNow app or the app store, after signing in with their NetID and selecting “Syracuse University.” In addition to supporting Dining Dollars and ‘Cuse Cash, users can also enter another form of payment, such as a credit or debit card.
“We are continually looking for ways to enhance the dining experience for our campus community, and we believe mobile ordering will make it quicker and easier to access our retail locations,” John Papazoglou, SU’s senior vice president and chief operations officer, said in the release.
The mobile ordering feature arrives alongside a new Starbucks location in Bird Library, as well as an Einstein Bros. Bagels location in the Life Sciences Atrium, also announced in the release.
