Syracuse will begin its 2026-27 campaign against Sacred Heart on Nov. 3 in the JMA Wireless Dome, the program announced Wednesday. It’s the Orange and Pioneers’ first meeting since 2005 and their second ever.

SU is on the heels of a 24-9 season in 2025-26, when it made the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three seasons. It returns six players from last year, including Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year Uche Izoje. She paced the Orange with 15.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.

SHU ended last season 13-18 after an exit in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Quarterfinals. It last made the NCAA Tournament in 2024.

Before the season opener, the Orange are slated to play an exhibition on Oct. 12 against UConn, which ended SU’s season in the NCAA Tournament Second Round. Syracuse has also announced games against Oklahoma (Dec. 3) and Le Moyne (Dec. 16), but its full schedule hasn’t yet been released.
