Spark Radio Benefit with Flashing Astonishers, Perilous and Know Nothing
In a benefit concert for Spark! Radio (WSPJ-LP 103.3/93.7 FM), The Flashing Astonishers, Perilous and Know Nothing will be performing for a night of tunes. The radio station is owned and operated by Syracuse Community Radio.

Green Lakes State Park Day Hike
Before Syracuse trails become covered in snow, take advantage of the miles of paths within Green Lakes State Park. The park includes two lakes known for their famous blue-green hue.

The BareRoots Music Festival aims to share Syracuse voices and experiences through art and music. Five local bands performed at the festival last year.

Oktoberfest at Harvey’s Garden
The Harvey’s Garden Oktoberfest celebration will include a steinholding contest and a best dressed contest. Harvey’s Garden will also hold its fourth annual dachshund race beginning at 5 p.m.

Quinceañera Dreams
To celebrate its 15th anniversary and the opening of its new Quinceañera Dreams exhibit, La Casita Cultural Center is hosting a live quinceañera celebration. The exhibition will include community-sourced photographs, oral histories, family memorabilia and vibrant gowns as well as music and a Cuban buffet to celebrate the historic tradition. Festive or dress attire is encouraged.

Stand-up comedian, actress, podcaster, producer, writer and director Whitney Cummings will be coming to Syracuse for her Big Baby Tour. Cummings hosts the “Good For You with Whitney Cummings” podcast and is the co-creator of “2 Broke Girls.”
