Power restored to 15 buildings at Syracuse University after earlier outage

Power for 15 buildings on Syracuse University’s campus has been restored, according to an Orange Alert message sent at around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
An Orange Alert message and email from Chief Facilities Officer Pete Sala — sent around 4:40 p.m. on Thursday — said several buildings on campus were affected by a power outage, including the Whitman School of Management.
Impacted buildings include:
- 106 Walnut Place
- 111 Waverly Ave.
- 200 Walnut Place
- 206 Walnut Place
- 210 Walnut Place
- 300 Waverly Ave.
- 310 Walnut Place
- The Catholic Center
- College of Professional Studies
- Milton Hall
- Riley Hall
- Steam Station
- University Avenue Garage
- West Campus Retail
- Whitman School of Management
This is the third Orange alert SU sent to students within 24 hours after the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Onondaga County from around 8:41 p.m. until 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
