SGA elects 18 assembly representatives amid voter turnout push

Eighteen new assembly members have been elected to Syracuse University’s Student Government Association, Board of Elections Chair Kempton Bohn announced Sunday in a campus-wide email.
With SGA’s fall election running the week of Sept. 21, over 1,600 students cast their virtual ballots. Positions on the ballot included first-year, at-large and representative seats from eight of SU’s 13 schools and colleges.
The first-year representatives include:
- Aubrey Lenz
- Delilah Pawlowski
- Leia Wall
- Lucy Mendenhall
- Madelyn Fu
- Sydney Boyer
Representatives for colleges across SU include:
- Bianca Rodriguez, School of Architecture
- Chloe Li, School of Architecture
- Mira Melinda Anosike, College of Arts & Sciences
- Gabriel Weissensee, College of Engineering and Computer Science
- Anto Pichot, Falk College of Sport
- Ava Pinn, School of Information Studies
- Alessandra Rodriguez, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs
- Beomsu Shin, College of Visual and Performing Arts
- Ibrahim Abdul-Qadir, Whitman School of Management
- Lucy Stephan, Whitman
Lilly Clapp and Tashema Stphard will also serve as representatives at-large.
At a recent general assembly meeting, SGA emphasized its goal of increasing student voter turnout as a step toward the organization’s goal of increasing student engagement across campus.
The newly elected assembly members will begin serving in their respective roles beginning at SGA’s general assembly meeting on Monday.
