SU cross country’s Charles Guerrera named ACC Men’s Co-Performer of the Week

Syracuse cross country’s Charles Guerrera was named Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Co-Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. Guerrera won the 6K race at the Harry Lang Invitational Saturday, topping last year’s champion, SU’s Asher Danielson, by 3.6 seconds.
The Harry Lang Invitational marked Guerrera’s first race for Syracuse cross country. He spent his freshman season solely competing for SU track and field. Still, Guerrera looked comfortable on the Hamilton, New York, trail, leading the Orange to their first team win of the season.
Guerrera is SU’s first runner to win ACC Performer of the Week since Sam Lawler in 2024.
Syracuse returns to the trail on Friday in the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational in University Park, Pennsylvania. The Orange will look to maintain their momentum after placing first in the ACC Preseason Poll.
