3-star goalie Jake Colclasure joins Syracuse men’s lacrosse’s 2028 class

Three-star goalie Jake Colclasure has committed to Syracuse men’s lacrosse, he announced on social media Tuesday evening. Colclasure is the Orange’s first goalie commit and 11th recruit in their 2028 class, which ranks seventh nationally, per Inside Lacrosse.
Colclasure is right-hand dominant and stands at 6-feet, 185 pounds. He split his high school career between De La Salle High School (California) and The Loomis Chaffee School (Connecticut) while playing club lacrosse for West Coast Starz, ADVNC and Red Hots National.
As a freshman at De La Salle, Colclasure posted a 76% save percentage, per his recruiting profile. The Lafayette, California, native then chose to reclassify and board at Loomis Chaffee.
2027 goalie Moe Sobel, the nation’s top-ranked goalie, committed to Syracuse in September 2025. With Colclasure’s pledge to the Orange, SU seems to have found its goalkeepers of the future.
