2028 4-star midfielder Jaxon Crouse commits to Syracuse men’s lacrosse

Syracuse men’s lacrosse earned a commitment from 2028 four-star midfielder Jaxon Crouse, he announced on social media Wednesday night.
Crouse is the Orange’s fourth commit in the last three days, joining four-star attack Hudson O’Hanlon, four-star faceoff specialist Mason Proctor and three-star midfielder Austin Flaum. The group and four-star midfielder/attack Nash Parker round out SU’s 2028 class thus far.
Despite hailing from Salamanca, New York, Crouse attends Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, where he’s starred as one of the state’s top midfielders. When he’s home, he plays club lacrosse with Flaum for Sweetlax Upstate in Rochester, New York. The 6-foot, 180-pound Crouse — who’s left-handed dominant — helped Sweetlax to a 17-1 record in 2026.
Inside Lacrosse recently ranked Crouse as the 98th-best player in the class of 2028. The publication stated: “Few players in the 2028 class can impact a game on both ends the way that Crouse does. He’s a lockdown defender in terms of his on-ball cover ability thanks largely to great speed, strong approaches and impressive ability to get hands on dodgers early. He plays the game with a high IQ and has strong instincts, allowing him to be the tip of the spear defensively and a reliable option on the offensive side.”
The report added that Crouse rotates between the offensive and defensive midfield, potentially allowing him to immediately step into a significant role at SU, with most of the Orange’s current core gone by his arrival.
