4-star class of 2028 LSM Preston James III commits to Syracuse

Four-star class of 2028 long-stick midfielder Preston James III has committed to Syracuse men’s lacrosse, he announced on social media Monday.
According to Inside Lacrosse, James is the seventh four-star recruit in his class to commit to the Orange.
James hails from Vandegrift, Texas, and plays for Vandegrift High School. He most recently played club ball for Hilltop 2028. He’s played for clubs West Coast Starz and Red Hots National previously.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound James also plays running back in football and runs track and field.
James is the second long-stick midfielder to commit to SU in the 2028 class, joining four-star JT Macaluso.
