Syracuse women’s lacrosse picked up a commitment from 2028 three-star Addie Talbott, she announced on social media Thursday morning. Despite being listed as a defender by Inside Lacrosse, Talbott is known for her versatility, also appearing as a midfielder and draw specialist for Staples High School (Connecticut) and CT Grizzlies.

Located in Darien, Connecticut, CT Grizzlies has shaped some of the sport’s greatest players, notably North Carolina attack Chloe Humphrey, former Boston College goalie Shea Dolce and Syracuse defender Kaci Benoit.

At 5-foot-6, Talbott is taller than two of the aforementioned stars, yet her size could be crucial at SU if she replaces graduated defender Coco Vandiver as Syracuse’s coveted backer. Talbott currently holds that role for CT Grizzlies, per her recruiting profile.

Outside of lacrosse, Talbott has also starred in basketball and soccer. She led Connecticut on the hardwood with 149 steals last year and earned All-State status as a sophomore in soccer.

Talbott is the Orange’s first commit in the 2028 class.
