No. 16 Syracuse (8-7, 0-5 Atlantic Coast) entered Saturday’s matchup with No. 5 North Carolina (10-3, 5-1) in need of a resume-boosting win. Instead, the Orange got crushed. The Tar Heels rolled to a 20-11 victory in the Carrier Dome in a game that the Orange never led. Just two conference games remain for SU to get an ACC win.
